Back in the fall of 1988, I started my freshman year at the University of Maryland at College Park with a clear goal: I wanted to join a fraternity. As I navigated the whirlwind of rush week, I found myself instinctively taking notes. The entire process, from the initial meet-and-greets to the eventual initiation, felt so rich with potential that I thought it would make for a compelling short story.

What began as an idea for a short story eventually evolved into a full-length novel. Now, after years of crafting this tale born from my college days, I’m thrilled to share that the manuscript is complete. The next exciting—and challenging—step is to find the right literary agent to help bring this story to the world.
